An eclectic mix of folkloric and abstract patterns made it down various runways during Spring 2009 Fashion Week, but the one collection that truly stood out from the rest was that of Matthew Williamson. His use of color, scale, and variety created some of the most exciting and fun looks that we have to look forward to this spring!
This season, it’s all about taking a risk with both color and patterns so throw all those “are you sure this goes together”? and “does this match?” rules out the window. Look for feminine silhouettes in both short and long lengths and stick with loose, flowy fabrics to maximize the ethereal feel of this look.
And while Williamson’s designer frocks will cost you about a month’s rent, here are some more budget-friendly options (all under $100) that will let you take this look from Runway to Reality!
